Here, I will share some of the proven ways on how to make money on YouTube.
1. Affiliate Marketing:
Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money on YouTube.
Suppose, you used a product and you liked it! Now, you want to recommend the same product to your users. You can place your unique affiliate link so that if any viewer clicks through your link and purchases the product, you receive a commission from the company itself.
You can start affiliate marketing even with a small audience. Some of the affiliate networks are Shareasale or Awin.
While giving product reviews, don’t just promote a product for the sake of making money. First, use the product and then give an honest review or feedback. This helps to create loyal fans among your viewers which helps you in the long run.
2. How to Make Money On YouTube On YouTube With Sponsored Content:
Brands are willing to pay YouTubers to promote their products.
You can get sponsorships from beauty, fitness, food, tech, gaming niches depending on your niche.
The amount you receive depends on the number of your subscribers and organic views. If you have a huge amount of views, brands will be willing to pay a lot more.
3. Sign Up As An Amazon Affiliate:
Amazon affiliate is another great way to make money on YouTube. To signup, you don’t need any criteria. You can signup with any number of subscribers and views on your YouTube channel.
You can promote products and put affiliate links. Once, a user clicks on your link and purchases the product, you will get a commission.
You have to make at least three successful sales in the first six months of applying. If you fail to do so, your account will be terminated. So, it is recommended, don’t signup if you don’t have any traffic. Once you have a good amount of traffic, you can signup. In that way making sales would be easy and your account would not get terminated by Amazon.
4. Join The YouTube Partner Program:
You can make money from the Youtube partner program in different ways. By getting approved you can make money from ads placed on your videos, google AdSense banners and also channel memberships.
To get approved as a YouTube Partner program, you must have 4000 watch hours in the last 12 months and 1000 subscribers.
Once you are approved for the YouTube partner program, you can monetize through Google Adsense, Sell merchandise(with Teespring) and add a “join button” to your YouTube channel.
From my personal experience, I was once addicted to a YouTube channel that posted quality content. I clicked on the “JOIN” button for some extra bucks. That allowed me to watch behind the scenes of that channel.
Similarly, if someone really loves your channel, they would join your channel to watch some extra content that is not on YouTube.
5. Sell Tshirts/Merchandise:
You can also sell merchandise(like t-shirts, mugs, etc) to make money from your YouTube channel.

The profit depends on your niche and as well as your income source. For example, health, tech, celebrity gossip niches have more views. If you are earning only by placing ads on your videos, income would be less.
