I don’t know about you, but every year I tell myself I don’t need any new makeup products, and then somehow a new trend appears and suddenly I’m adding things to my cart again.
The good news is that 2026 makeup trends feel a lot more wearable than some of the trends we’ve seen in the past.
Instead of heavy layers and complicated techniques, the focus is on healthy-looking skin, playful colors, glossy finishes, and enhancing features rather than completely transforming them.
Honestly, this might be one of my favorite beauty years yet.
Here are the makeup trends I think we’re going to see absolutely everywhere in 2026.

Cherry Cola Makeup

Cherry Cola Makeup is basically the cool older sister of latte makeup.
Think rich berry lips, burgundy eyeshadow, glossy finishes, and warm brown tones all blended together. It feels glamorous without being overly dramatic.
I love this trend because it works during the day and looks even better at night.

For this look, I would reach for the MAYBELLINE Lifter Gloss in 29 Toast paired with shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette.
The warm browns and berry tones create that signature Cherry Cola vibe effortlessly. I also think the HOSAILY Lip Liner works beautifully for adding extra depth around the lips.

Glass Skin Blush Melt

If there’s one trend I keep seeing over and over again, it’s blush taking over the face in the best possible way.
Instead of placing blush only on the cheeks, people are blending it upward toward the temples for that lifted, fresh, almost ethereal look. Combined with ultra-glowy skin, the result looks youthful, healthy, and effortless.

I love using the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Happy because it blends beautifully and gives that naturally flushed effect.
For the signature glow, the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter creates a gorgeous luminous base, while the e.l.f. Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray helps keep everything looking fresh.

Frosted Lavender Eyes

Lavender is having a major beauty moment.
And before you picture the frosty makeup from years ago, this version feels much softer and prettier. Think delicate lavender shimmer, glossy lids, and fresh skin.
Whenever I see this look, it instantly feels feminine and dreamy.

The UCANBE Eyeshadow Palette has some gorgeous lavender tones that work perfectly for this trend. I also love tapping a little ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Frog onto the center of the lids for extra sparkle.
Finish with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara for soft fluttery lashes.

Latte Makeup 2.0

Latte Makeup isn’t going anywhere.
The 2026 version simply feels softer and glowier. Instead of dramatic contouring, we’re seeing creamy bronzes, caramel tones, glossy nude lips, and skin that still looks like skin.
This is probably the trend I recommend most because it’s so easy to wear.

The Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Bronzer is perfect for adding warmth without looking heavy. I also love the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow for that glossy nude lip moment.
For the eyes, the CAKAILA Brown Eyeshadow Palette has all the caramel and bronze shades you need.

Soft Grunge Siren Makeup

Soft Grunge isn’t disappearing anytime soon, but in 2026 it’s becoming softer, prettier, and much more wearable.
Think smoked eyeliner, blurred lips, fluffy brows, and makeup that looks slightly undone in the coolest way possible. It has that “I woke up looking effortlessly cool” energy.

I love using the UCANBE Smokey Eyeshadow Palette to create soft smoky eyes without making them too dark.
Pair it with the NYX Epic Smoke Liner and finish with the Stellar Dust Lip Stain for that lived-in lip effect.

Smudged Espresso Liner Look

Perfect eyeliner suddenly feels a little too perfect.
The liner trend for 2026 is softer, messier, and much cooler. Instead of sharp black wings, we’re seeing rich brown liner gently smudged around the eyes.
The result looks sexy without trying too hard.

The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition is amazing for this look because it blends beautifully before setting.
I like diffusing it with shades from the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette to create that effortless smoky effect.

Clean Eyeliner

Minimal makeup paired with a clean eyeliner flick is becoming one of the chicest beauty looks of 2026.
The skin stays fresh, the lips stay natural, and the liner becomes the main character.

The Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner remains one of my favorites for creating precise wings.
I also love using the Benefit 24-HR Brow Setter to keep brows polished and pairing everything with MAC Lustreglass Lipstick.

Blush Takes Over Contour

Heavy contour is slowly stepping aside as blush takes center stage.
Instead of sculpting the face with deep shadows, people are using blush to create lift, warmth, and dimension. The final look feels much fresher and more youthful.

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Hope is beautiful for this trend because it blends seamlessly upward toward the temples.
I also love layering a touch of the Dior Rosy Glow Blush on top for extra color and longevity.

Bold Lips & Drama Eyes

For years it felt like we had to choose between a bold lip or dramatic eyes.
2026 says: why not both?
This trend embraces statement makeup with confidence. Rich lips, smoky eyes, and glowing skin come together to create a look that feels glamorous and unapologetic.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills is perfect for creating dramatic eye looks, while the MAC Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo remains a classic bold lip choice.
Add plenty of mascara with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and you’re done.

Blurred Berry Lips

Sharp lipstick edges are being replaced with softer, more diffused finishes.
Blurred berry lips look romantic, effortless, and incredibly flattering. The effect creates dimension while still feeling natural.

The Mirabella Lipstick is practically made for this trend.
I also love using the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Wherever Walnut and softly blending the edges with my fingertip for that diffused finish.

Peach Monochrome

Peach tones are taking over eyes, cheeks, and lips for a fresh monochromatic look.
Everything feels soft, warm, and cohesive without looking boring. It’s one of those makeup trends that instantly makes you look healthy and awake.

The Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo in She’s Adorable works beautifully on the cheeks, while the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Palette creates the perfect peach-toned eye look.
Finish with the Revolution, Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Gloss in Candy Pink.

Pop of Blue

If I had to choose the most fun trend of 2026, it would definitely be this one.
A tiny touch of cobalt blue liner, blue mascara, or electric blue shadow instantly transforms a makeup look. The best part is that you don’t need much.
Even a small blue accent can make the entire face look modern and fashion-forward.

The NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner in Sapphire is perfect if you’re new to colorful makeup because it’s bold without being overwhelming.
I also love adding a touch of shimmer from the evpct 9 Colors Blue Glitter Eyeshadow Palette near the inner corners of the eyes for extra impact.

Ready to Try These Makeup Trends?
The best thing about these makeup trends is that there is no single trend you have to follow.
Some days you might feel like wearing soft Peach Monochrome makeup. Other days you might want dramatic Cherry Cola lips or a fun Pop of Blue eyeliner moment.
That’s exactly what makes 2026 beauty so exciting.
The focus is no longer on looking perfect. It’s about looking like the best version of yourself.
Experiment with different colors, textures, and finishes. Mix trends together. Make them your own. Beauty should feel fun, not stressful.
At the end of the day, the best makeup trends are the ones that make you feel confident whenever you look in the mirror.
And if these trends are any indication, 2026 is going to be a very beautiful year.
